Should I send my amp back, or buy a Subsonic filter? How are soundqubed amps?

I have 2 SSA Dcon 10's those are 400w SVC subs, I have currently a JBL GTO 751-EZ. Which does 750w at 2 ohms, which i do understand is fine.Steve Meade also tested the model amp below mine on the dyno and certified it pushed out well over what it was rated. My problem is that amp has no Sub Sonic filter and im running the subs in a .75 cu ft box tuned to 42hz at the moment but will soon run them in a 1.22 cubic ft box tuned to 37hz. Both of which are ported boxes. I love the JBL amp and it has a function that helps me set my gains which is cool and i got it at a good a deal and only paid $150 for it and did not realize i need a subsonic filter. This amp is small which is good because it needed to fit under a dodge ram 1500's seat, so it a perfect amp except for the fact of the lack of SSF. Another member referred me to Hlabs in choosing a Subsonic filter and i have found one "Crossover Harrison Labs Pfmod TM Subsonic New | eBay " this filter is a variable filter that can be set to multiple settings. The problem is its $44 and is only at a 12db octave slope. So that brings up my new question, do i keep my current amp and just spend the $44 on that SSF

OR do i send the amp back (that cost money) and buy a different amp maybe one that is better?

If you think i should send it back and buy a different one, what would be a good one?

It needs to do 800w+ @ 2 ohms

Needs a SSF, hehe

and it needs to be small enough to fit under a seat ( i can list dimensions later, but it can be a bit bigger that the JBL's, LxWxH 8-3/8 x 9-11/16

x 2-9/16)

The soundqubed amp seems to be what i am targeting Q1-1200D Amplifier

It has 24 db octave slopes on all the crossovers, does 800w+ @ 2 ohms, and the bass knob comes with a cool clipping indicator, i just havent heard anything about Soundqubed

I haven't listed a budget because i don't know where to start, i have 200$ for sure and don't mind buying from eBay or Amazon. I have found that if i find a amp somewhere look at on those websites and im bound to find it cheaper.

Thanks

Just downloaded the manual. Says 10hz.
For real? I have read up and down everywhere and the manual, couldn't find it saying anything about a set SSF anywhere, were did you find this? Make sure its the JBL Gto 751-EZ

The soundqubed amps have a variable ssf and if you look around the forum enough they get outstanding reviews.
Good, thats what i wanted to hear. They have them on sale for $215. Is that a good deal on that amp? I have heard good things too but wanted to see what you guys have to say. Anything else comparable? i found a Skar T-1400.1D for $200 (might be to big though) and 2 American Bass models but they have limited info. One being the VFL 100.1 and the Elite 1200.1. Still think soundqubed is better?

I tried the Harrison fmods and lost a lot of output I don't think there very accurate.
Is that so? I have only heard good things about their FMODS, you think i should send the amp back, and get a different one?

I know a lot of people use the soundqubed and the American bass that should say something. I would send your amp back and get the q1200.

We have sold 1000's of our SQ1200D amps and they have proven themselves countless times in competitions and in daily drivers. We seldom get one back for service and 9 out of 10 times it turns out it wasn't set up properly. The amp is very user friendly and it comes with a very accurate remote gain/clipping indicator which makes set-up easy. Set-up instructions can be found on our website by clicking on the "Tech support" button on our home page.

Our amps are designed by the best amp designers in the business and are built in South Korea with the best parts and manufacturing methods available. Each amp is QCed at each step in the production and receives a factory "burn in" and power test before leaving the factory. We do everything possible to protect our amps from enduser abuse. Feel free to call our tech support or e-mail, if our lines are busy leave your number and we will get back to you usually the same day. The same goes for e-mails.

Well that settles it haha, i think im going to send my JBL amp back, and get me a Q1-1200D. I love the fact that they are built in South Korea, and all i hear is amazing things about them. I thought i was going to miss the built in gain setting function on my JBL but i guess the clipping knob works the same way.
