I just bought two AW1008T audiobahns, 10". I was wondering if I should seal 'em or port 'em. I want to get the best out of these subs, obviously i don't want such good subs to not reach their potential. I know they are kind of expensive, but I definately think its worth the money considering what high standards these subs are made to, i just want to make sure I don't waste any potential these amazing subs have to offer. They are going in the back of a civic hatchback.

Also, do you guys think audiobahn components are good? I have never had the pleasure of hearing them, but if they're made anything like their subs i think I will be in for a good treat. Anyone ever hear them?

Dude, Audiobahns may get VERY loud (mine did) but their SQ is pretty bad. If you ever get a chance to hear a real sub (IDMAX, W7, Diamond, XXX) compare the 2 and you will realize the difference.

As far as your quesiton, I'd go ported and they'll be louder than you'll ever need

lol at the above post.

alot of people dont like audiobahn subs, if you like em, i say throw em in a ported box, i can hook you up with some plans for cheap with a full cut list if you want.

the audiobahn components are supposed to blow quite a bit.. the audiobahn SQ line i've had in my car before and they sound great for how cheap they are.

but for 140 shipped you can get pioneer premier REV series components and 6x9's

and those things rock the house like none other in the price range.

dont waste ur time building a box..just plug those *****es into a wall plug and go buy some real subs

I won't say he wasted his money, I think Bahns are good for the $$ (if you get em on EBay) because they can get VERY VERY loud!!!!! For a 1st system, they are definitly servicable, because most people only want to bump with their first setup

Why would you think these subs aren't good? They're awsome, and have a lot of chrome, showing the high quality of these subs. And a very nice flame design. I have heard JL subs before, and i think its just a bunch of hype. Also, Xzibit has audiobahns in his suv.

I have heard alot of audiobahn subs, and believe me, none of them sound anywhere near good. Yeah audiobahs do get loud, but they sound like ***. If you want to keep the subs man, Seal them, that way you can get some kind of SQ (ha ha), but your best bet is to sell them to some kid and tell the kid that the chrome makes them sound better.
