Should I seal off my trunk from the cabin?

Got two RL-p 12's in a ported box in the trunk of a Grand Prix. There are currently 4 holes of 4-6" in diameter in my rear deck from stock speakers. Should I seal these holes up or are they helpful to get bass to enter the car? For IB I know I would seal them, but what about ported box? Thanks.

let it breathe for heavens sake. To get even more bang, rebuild your box to where you have some aeroports firing up towards those holes in your rear deck //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

How does this sound for sq purposes? Louder is always good... but does it cause any cancellation, etc?

Everything causes cancellation. Sound waves bouncing around inside your car, its impossible to avoid.
But no, doing snoopdan's idea shouldn't necessarily cause any more cancellation than another method would. What it WILL do however is increase your group delay, which may not mean alot to you.
