Should I run my subwoofers at 2 ohm or 1 ohm?

I need to know whether to buy 4 ohm or 2 ohm subs and whether to run them at 2 ohm or 1 ohm. What are the pros/cons. Thanks.

I realise sq is better at 4 ohm but I'm not going to pay a ton of money for an amp to push subs at 4 ohm.

i have a big alpine sq amp that does 900rms at 4ohm bridged and is very underrated

okay it depends on what your goal of your system is. if you just want a little bump in your trunk then just peice it together...meaning you can normally find a brand new amp that does its max rated power at 1ohm so just buy that and make sure your sub and or subs wire down to 1ohm...it doesnt make a real difference 1 or 2 ohm and honestly i dont even get what youre trying to ask so this answer is even hard for me to type //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sick.gif.b1847c8dabbfeeddbcf1a78052249e10.gif
