sdc 2.5 motor and a sd 2.5 4 spoke basket

I have an sdc 2.5 10 that is rattling inside and needs a recone i guess. I also have my old basket from my sd2.5 15 that the motor came apart on. Can I use the audioque SDC 2.5 motor on my current 10 inch sub, and put it on the old 4 spoke 15 inch basket. Then get a recone kit for the SDC 15 ? seems like it would work to me, but i dont know if the 4 spoke basket is deep enough. thanks.

how do people make "frankenwoofers?" somebody should know how to measure or tell how a motor will work with different baskets and recones. Where do people order parts for woofers with parts from dirrefent manf. etc. I would like to recone in a dual 2 ohm whether its the 10 or the 15. I know aq sdc 2.5 only come in d4.
