Should I run 2 subs and power well, or 3 and under power?

So i have a choice to make. Sitting in my garage waiting for install is a bunch of equipment. Just trying to reach maximum SPL to try and win high school drags. So i need your suggestions, heres a list of the equipment and options...

Subs- 3 10" Kicker L7's

0/1 gauge kicker wiring kit

Voodoo 3200.1 rated at 3000@1 ohm i think...so here lies the decision...

run 2 @ 1 ohm 10"s with more airspace and be able to port the box..i could sell the 3rd one and

or...

run all 3 at 1.3 ohm but not to there maximum potential and sacrifice airspace and not be able to port the box...

suggestions?

What is your purpose? SQ, SQL, Loud Daily, or SPL ???

You might be able to do 3 tens sealed in a reg cab ranger, they are gonna get plenty loud with 1k on each.

Otherwise propperly sized box for two ported.

Pretty much anyones guess at this point. Either one in a better install might get louder than the other setup, and vice versa - in my opinion.

For maximum SPL in the amount of room you have. I would go with the 3 10's for the cone area over anything else... It will also work well for a daily driver!!
Don't forget that the port is a radiating surface with more potential throw than a single sub. Also note that the bump in response from the subs will help in output. Cone area is not everything and if you're only looking at cone area, you have to count the port in as well. Not counting it is like not powering one of the three subs.

A. you have to understand that ported boxes will always be louder than sealed boxes.

B. each sub added to a system only gains an average of 1 db

C. the main thing when competing is: TEST TEST TEST

this is coming from someone who has competed in alot of competitions hope it helps
