Should I rip my CD's to MP3 or WMA?

What kind of files does everyone recommend I rip my CD's to? WMA or MP3? I just bought a Microsoft Zune, & I don't really understand the difference, other than file sizes. I've heard 256 Kbps is a good median rate. I know it depends on the listener, and to the average ear 128 would be ok, but to the trained ear you want bigger files. I plan on doing my own sound test with different sizes, but still don't know whether to go with MP3 or WMA. Any opions or ideas? Thanks!
