The shop that installed my alarm wants $75 to finish my component/amp install. They said they would run my speaker wire through the door and finishing mounting my components.

This is the way im doing it: adding onto the existing stock wires. The power will be 350RMS total. but their way seems much more legit

No, you shouldn't pay. Are your arms broken?

How anal about things are you? Do you care if the speakers are mounted on solid baffles, the door panels are sealed up, the baffle is mounted and covered in modeling clay...etc. No shop is going to be that meticulous for $75.

Although, you're not doing any of that yourself, so I guess it doesn't matter either way.
