Do you guys think it is absurd to rent a car in las vegas? He kept going on and on about how he can rent a car for 5 days for 170 bucks, and i told him its a stupid idea and you would never need a car but he didn't listen to me.

Well i pretty much did that and told my friend that this kid seems like a doucebag and I dunno if i want to go away with him. My friend told me to worry about it and this kid is just very excited, and actually isn't going to do any of the booking/planning. He said he thinks the car thing is stupid too, and already told the kid that if he wants a car he is paying for it 100%. I trust my friend since I've known him for about 6 years, so hopefully him vouching for the kid is a good sign.
