Should I not go on vacation becuase some douchebag is going with us?

My friend from home invited me to go to Vegas with him at the end of the summer, and right now it was just him and his fraternity brother. So i say ill do it. Then today I get a call from his frat brother, and this kid is the epitome of a douchebag. He keeps bothering me to try to get other people to go so it can be cheaper and i tell him fine, and he just goes on and on trying to bug me and tell me i need to do it soon so he can book the trip. He was making it seem like my role was to recruite people whether i like them or not, and frankly it sketched me out. Then he says he has to rent a car down there so we are gonna have to chip in for it (why you would rent a car in las vegas is beyond me).

So this kid seems like a retard that is trying to be pushy to me and he doesn't even know me. I am really reconsidering going because I don't know if i want to go on vacation with someone like this. The one thing I really didn't like is he was making it completely obvious that i was just an extra body that was coming to make the trip cheaper, and i should go "recruit" other people. I also don't want to insult my friend by telling him that his fraternity friend is a complete doucehbag,
