Should I join?

i ddnt read the entire thread because im tired, but check this out. if its not in writing you wont get it. if its in writing you still might not get it. bro, you are a bright kid. you have other options and avenues that you can take. i was very close to joining the army in 1997 until i found my recruiter was feeding me a bunch of shit. i asked her a stupid question to see how far she would go with her lies. i had asked her will have to run in the rain, because i don't like to get wet. the biotch was like, "oh no, you dont have tp worry about that cause they dont run when it rains". i have a couple of co-workers who are in the reserves and they regret it. im sure there are plenty that love it. dont use the tuition reembursement or the gi bill a reason to join the army. join the army because you want to be a soldier. oh yeah my co-worker told me how much he gets a month and i almost lmao. venom the recruiters are trained con artist. my boss is a former naval recruiter. he tells me about it all the time.

oh one more thing. if you choose to go, you might wanna check into the colleges in korea.

maybe duke, princeton and washington university have branches in the middle east:D .

I'm going to go in their on Monday to talk again to the recruiter. The only way that I will sign up is if they can get me into the Military Court System. The reason why I wanted to join in the first place is not only for the help with paying for college I wanted military service on my resume and after school I really did want to go overseas. After ROTC I would be required to have 3 or 4 years active duty which really wouldnt be bad as long as I got the MOS and AIT I wanted so actually the army would help out tremendously in my career if a few things are guaranteed. When these guys do put this stuff in writing it would be a FEDERAL CRIME to just rip it up. I'm not saying it doesnt happen but it doesnt happen a lot. This recruiter has been trying to get me to join for 2 and a half years now and I think I actually may be able to get what I want plus help out the government at the same time. My brother hated every minute of it but of course he was in supply and services and he wasnt an Officer like I will be during ROTC. I seriously think that if a few of these things can be arranged I will definately join. Thanks for all the input guys.

Best part is that there's virtually no audio theft, compared to US numbers...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Join only because you want to, not because of the job you are promised. That may not end up being the case. I know a few people who finished boot on time and when they were ready to go to AIT they were told it was full and they had to wait till next year at their basic training station and take roll for the boot campers meals for the next year until the next training session was up. All of them ended up changing their MOS's to jobs that weren't filled.. AKA jobs no one wants.

Don't join for the benefits. They are not guaranteed. Join because you want to be a part of it. If you are willing to take the chance, then fine. I would just hate to see something happen to you. If you would like the e-mail addresses of a few people who had to change their MOS out of boot I would be happy to provide them for you.

go for like 10 years, get yourself a viper when you get out, and a nice house. Oh yeah baby, viper //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
