should i join the air force?

i graduated high school about 2 years ago from a privet kinda high class high school, im now goin to some lame community college gettin a bachelors in math just gettin more and more in debt and i have no idea where im going in life

what would you all do? im talkin to an air force recruiter and he said i would be able to go in as an officer (e-3) mayby (because i scored high on sat/asvab and i already have 2 years of college) but i dont know... i dont want to sign my life away but i dont want to keep "wasting" away in this stupid non-life advancing sit around going to college nonsence just gettin more in debt...

i dunno im just to that point where im ready to advance in life but i dont see that happening with what im doing right now

navy or air force would be your best bet. i almost got into the marines but failed the hearing test at meps (i got hyped up by the recruiter..go figure). you gotta weigh both sides of it tho. 4 years of your life to the government. it will be very good experience and probly some good life lessons in the long run. i have a buddy in the navy right now and he loves it at times. other times he hates it. just the way it goes. there's a lot to consider tho for 4 years to the armed services esp at this time of war.

YOU CANT GET A BACHELORS IN A COMMUNITY COLLEGE...THATS YOUR FIRST MISTAKE. YOU MUST KNOW A 4 YEAR DEGREE IS FOR 4YEAR SCHOOLS. OR A 2+2 PROGRAM. MAYBE YOU SHOULD REPEAT HIGH SCHOOL.

e-3 is not an officer....

its just a higher rank.

that is suppose to be my rank as well (I completed 4 years of college).

are you willing to sign a contract promising them your life for the next 4 years? Sure, there are many opportunities (travel, free room, free food)....but.....you will be far from your family and friends (you get 2.5 days of leave each motnh...those days can roll over though). Also, you need to enjoy the job you have in the Air Force, because you will be stuck with it for 4 years!

Ive been thinking about it.....but Im leaning towards the NYPD.....if I fail this upcoming test, I might go through with the USAF (only because I dont have much here where I live and I really want to travel)

think about it!

True, but a little harsh. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif

stay in school, get done sooner, make some decent cash, become a good civilized citizen who is proud of his accomplishments, have a family, raise a kid or two,...you can get both from either choice, but in the military if you make the choice you have to stick with it. you cant back out and be wishy washy like you are now.

if you do go military, airforce>navy>marines>army in terms of how long you get to play in the combat zone. i have no real direction in my life and being in the army gives me something else to do besides surf on the internet and watch TV
