Should I Imprint?

Ive been looking at the cheapest way to get a decent set of eq options with T/A. NOT EASY TO FIND.

I need a deck that will take my universal xm adapter (not a big deal)

5+ eq bands

24bit dac

T/A options (not just kenwoods presets)

Sound restoration (listening to xm without is well elohel welcome to 1999 mp3s)

So after studying and finding that most radios are now more concerned with being shiny and playing video, Ive decided that Imprint may be the way to go for like 125 on amazon.

My problem is choosing a deck, I would suppose that it doesnt matter a whole lot what deck I get unless Im picky about the display?

Anything I need to know?

Anyone got a cheap imprint capable deck?

9886 would be a good one?

I'd get a 9887, just because it's fun to change the colors. I don't think Alpine makes a 9887 anymore. I couldn't find them on their website. If you're going to do imprint and not tune by yourself, I'd do a 9886, but if you can find a 9887, I'd do that.

Alot of Alpine decks have Imprint in one form or another. There are the ones compatible with the Imprint PXA-H100, PXE-H600, PXE-H650, KTX-H100, or the KTX-EQ100. Another thing I like about the Alpine units is the KTP 455. Its an add on amp that plugs between the car deck harness and the HU harness and amps the speaker outputs to 4x45 without running speaker wire. It only comes in handy running passive though.

You can find them online. I found mine for cheap. There were a few on eBay for like $380-$390 but had to get shipped from the UK. There are the 9887R that are the marine ones, but have the same features otherwise.

I got mine brand new 315 shipped to my door, from an authorized dealer //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif

Probably from a US dealer before they were discontinued. Those ones are like $70 in shipping due to being sold in the UK.
