Should I go with this setup Type X over JL's

on ebay you can find a type X 10'' for 230$ shipped

I was thinking of geting two of the type X's and powering them with my jl 1000/1

you guys think it will sound good ?

my first choice was JLw3s or a w6 but one w6 thats only 600rms I can buy two 10'' type X for the same price.

Forget all the JL hype about there subs. I'd take my X's any day over any JL sub. But go with two 12's, you'll be happier.

why 12's they both do 1000rms 10s and 12s but 10s would hit harder then 12s no ? 12s will just be louder

I don't know the technical way of explaining this and I've never compared 10" Type X's to 12"s. But when I had my 2 12" Type R's on my PDX 1.1000 they sounded (IMO) better than my buddies 2 10's of the same amp. Not knocking his 10" Type R's or anything because they were still real nice. I mean if you really want 10's than go nuts. I heard a 12" Type X off of a Memphis MC1.1100 in a 2008 Civic Si and I was totally impressed with the output! Oddly, I am friends with the manager of the local Memphis shop and he had called me to go over and hear the new Mojos. While I was there, he brought me into the install bay and said "You gotta hear the Type X that I just installed in this Civic Si." For one 12" ported with a direct fire into the cabin, it was LOUD and sounded great!

My single 10" X was a beast @ 2 ohms on my AQ2200D. Not loud, but holy shit did it get low.

well on the alpine website it says the type X does 500-1000rms so i was thinking of getings two type X and powering with the 1000 jl just so i have more cone space

or you think its not worth it and that i should go with a 12'' type X ?
