should I go with a sealed or ported box for two 15 " kicker cvr's

I was reading on forums here and one said I should do "about 3 cubes if its sealed sounds good and about 4.25 cubes ported tuned to about 35 HTZ. i have had cvrs alot and ran sealed and ported. i have found these two sizes sound best for the 15s."

So which one is better sealed or ported.

and what would be the best program to mess around with box design to see which one would hit the hardest?

one more question. What is htz, does it mean that you will have a bigger box or what does htz really do

I'm not going to build the box I just need the box design to give to a friend to build

Like the deminstions, sizes, because I have no idea what 3 cubic feet would be. (just curistite on how big it will be)

The reason I am asking is because the kicker website says

Min Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 1.8, 51

Max Rec Sealed Box Volume (CU. FT., Liters) 5.2, 147

Min Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 3, 85

Max Rec Vented Box Volume (CU. Ft., Liters)** 5, 142

So it doesn't say what would be the best to use, to hit the hardest

and yes I am a noob asking for professional advice

3cubes ported to 45hz would be loudest at headrest.

3.5cubes ported tuned to 35hz would sound a little better.

2.5cubes sealed, would probably sound the best, but not be the loudest.

This might be a face palm, but headrest, what is that? and for the 3 cubes ported, what size ports shoud I use or when someone says hz that is what they are talking about, the size of the port, or am I mistakening it for something else
