Should I go sealed or ported?

thats like 3.75 cubic feet. that should be plenty to have a good size box and a big enough port

ya but the box only need to be 2.0-2.2 cub ft.

it never hurts to get a lil bigger. if anything output wise , you might realy like it. reason i say ported is because ive heard them in a ported and a sealed and honestly they sound realy good ported . low and deep while having good SQ

Well goto RE Audios website, they have a nice lil box calculator that gives you cut out sheets and everything, and its pretty accurate, and easy to do,

ya that's what i'm trying to do is figure out the plans to build one. And if i do aero ports i dont even know where to start

the problem is is that the port isnt wide enough (only 2 inches wide) and it'll make alota port noise (as ive been told) and i cant hav that bein the sub will be very close to me

I did one at 2cf with your max dimensions tuned to 32hz

Ok, so I'm going to be the ahole here and say go sealed...only cuz everyone else has gone ported and cuz I like sealed. You could get away with about a 1.3cf sealed box and IMO only lose a db or two of output versus the ported box, and gain a lot flatter response especially down low.

2.5in wide and 55in long

I think 31sq in of port should be plenty for a 2cf box.
