should I get grillz

I just got two 12'' subs in an open box, the traditional style. My question is, if I put something in my trunk (such as golf clubs)and they come in contact with the subs, will the subs pop or something like that? Should I invest in some grillz?

Do you have very high excursion drivers?

http://www.partsexpress.com sells "bar style" grills in either chrome or black that work well with 99% of the subwoofers on the market today.

I have a post in here too on this. Let me know what you go with. I like the looks of the Fishman for fit but not so much for design.
