Should I get an Eclipse?!?

A guy at the local audio shop helped me look at head units, and he told me that I should get an eclipse. I didn't want to spend over 200, so he showed me an eclipse for 180. I asked him what features it had and he showed me all the features which turned out to be the basic stuff like balance, fade, etc. The deck had no high pass and low pass filter so I told him I probably didn't want it but he said this deck was really powerful so I should get this one. Do I need a low pass and high pass filter in my deck, or should i get the eclipse???

Are you going to be running subs and/or dedicated midbass or are you just looking for a better head unit?

I dunno how great of any deck you can get for $200, especially if you're paying their "advertised" price. I think in that price range you will honestly be paying mostly for the name. Also salesmen are there to sell not help (99% of the time). X2 on what you're doing with your system and what stuff you're gonna be running, if you have decided.

Just my 2cents.
