Ok i have 2 10" DD3500 with a Lanzar Opti2000D in a 3 cu. ft ported box in a reg cab F-150. All my electrical is stock and i was wondering if i went and bought a battery if that would help with not being so hard on the electrical system. I know people buy batteries for extra help but would that be of any help? I dont exactly get what i would do with it or anything but any help would......help haha thanks.

replace Your stock battery with an aftermarket one - preferablly with a higher aH rating.

add 4ga or larger wiring under Your hood. Use the search function here for "the big three wiring upgrade".

Make sure that You have a nice solid ground at the amp and large power wire into the amp.

Get an aftermarket, higer amperage alternator.

Run different voice coils to achieve a higher impedance. Higher impedance = less current / more voltage.

Well i have 4ga. wire all around and i think 0 under the hood so. I just dont want to upgrade to a power alt. b/c their so expensive. I mean you can get a battery for like 60 bucks but alt's are like 300 bucks.

if you get a battery with solid reserve and a maintaining charger you should be ok unless your alt is weak. the maintianing charger just helps the battery from running too low for too long does require ac power so depending where you live it can or cant be bareable..also depends if its for belching or music listening

Is it installed?

Are you having dimming issues?

If you answered no to the first, hook it up. After you hook it up ask yourself the second question.

If you answered no to the second, no worries. You wont need the extra stuff.

If yes. Try the big 3 first. A HO alt second. and an additional battery third.

i agree there but when you are picking out your alt make sure you ask what it does at idle and you dont need to be at 1500 rmps for it to start working
