Should I get 1ch or 2ch amp

I built a box for my 2 Mach 5 Audio MAW-10 10" subs. The box has separate chambers. I want to get a Rockford Fosgate Amp. Not sure if it would be better to get a 1ch amp like the T500-1bd 500x1@1ohm or should I get a P450.2 225x2@2ohm? I can get the 1ch for about 300 or the 2ch for around 250 bucks. Please give me recommendations. Also this will be running off a Pioneer 7800. Thanks.

those speakers cant be wired for 1 ohm and the 450.2 would give more power at 2 ohms(mine does 280x2 at 2 ohms)but i would get the mono amp as it will be a little better on your electrical (especially if you have a properly powered front stage)

Mack, where did u get that for 150 shipped. I was just looking at crutchfield but I seen some on ebay but still higher than 150. let me know. thanks. as far as front stage im just running some jvc wally world coax off the headunit and the factory rear speakers. will probably upgrade those later on. thanks.

also according to rf.com i can wire these together to either 1ohm or 4ohm.

or i can wire them separate down to 2ohms each for that 450.2

the 2 channel is 4 ohm bridgeable. so that would be cheaper and work fine for your sub's given they are dual 4?

Sure you can wire the subs down to 1 ohm, but the question is really can the amp that you choose handle that load?

The 450.2 is out of the question if you want to wire them 1ohm so I'd spend the extra $50 and get the T5001BD instead. Stick to class D amps if you're gonna run just subs.

my bad i thought the subs were svc but i got the amp from a ebay seller called werebuyinit
