I have a s-10 extended cab and i was looking to add another L7 to it. i am kinda limited on space but i think i can get around 5 to 6 cubes...Oh yeah it will be 2 06' 12" L7's. i was thinking about tuning the box in between 30-33 hz...

What i want to know is should i fire the subs/ port up or down (if you can port subs down). Also should i make the box chambered or not...

Thanks for any help

To fire up or down......That is the question....lol //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I'm no engineer, but this is what I'm believing now. For low frequency extension I'd lean towards sub(s) firing down, box a few inches from the rear corner, and the port firing sideways into that corner. For downfiring I normally leave 1/3 the nominal diameter of the woofer distance between peak of surround and floor. For higher tunings I'd say subs up and port up (firing up in the middle between the two subs).
