Should I do it?

My ISP sucks balls. They have their network twice NAT'ed, so I cant get a global (or public) IP. All of their users are in the same subnet on their own private network, which is again nated. They are cheap bastards and wont give out their registered IP's and they WILL NOT set up port forwarding for you at all. Cant even use remote desktop outside of their network. Unfortunately, they are the only high speed I have available in my area.

So what I have been thinking about doing is throwing my DHCP server with a large scope and setting gateway settings to a non-existent IP, and putting it out on their network. Then, once people start requesting IP's, they will be getting some of my bogus settings. And they are too stupid to restrict only authorized DHCP servers.

It is, however, completely against my TOS with them. Apparently, so is hosting a website. Should I fuck with them a little?

sounds like your isp uses mac authentication and you setting up a dhcp server isnt going to do anything...just a lil //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
