should i do 5.1 or not? need opinions!!

I have a subaru WRX wagon. I have a older clarion flip out and a DVD player that is seperate from the flip out, it has 5.1 built in, also clarion. all i really need are amps

nothing is in the car now as I'm working on repairs. Question is, Is 5.1 worth all the extra work to set up, wire, and stuff? I want to compete in SQ the most, Ive been out of the game for a bit but i heard they have a DTS or 5.1 class now. but looking to the future should I do IT!

They have single amps that are equiped with that capability.
