Should I do 2 T2 12's or 2 T2 15's

Let me start by saying all four subs are dual 4 ohm, so no matter which pair I run it will be at 1ohm.

Secondly in my by car, which is a hatchback, I can only get up to about 8.4ish gross cubic feet (thats not net after factoring displacement and port). Rockford only says it needs 2.75 cubic feet optimum for each 15, but I feel optimum is definitely way more. Oh and I'd have a t1500 pushing it with a optima yellow top, and i'm gonna get a xstatic batcap I think on a stock alternator (which I plan on upgrading in the near feature.)

I know car audio, but I know there's people who know a lot more. So, based on these factors is there anyone who knows car audio crazy good or has either setup themselves that could give me advice on what would be best, to get the most SPL, like I said--based on these factors?

Do the 15,s in a 6 cubed box. subs facing up port towards the back. What car is it. what amp are you running. Do you have upgraded power wires, second battery, or a high output alternator?

No I actually thought they were over-rated too until I tried em thanks, I know about all the other non name brands too, but thanks
I just noticed you were in PHX. Thats whats up...

But Bettr has a point, if you are not stuck in getting these subs, there are far better choices for the power you are running. I assume @ 1 ohm, it is closer to 1800 watts on good electrical, though. So if you really want to run them, then run the 15s... They are basically the same sub (same motor), so the cone area of the 15s will yield much more SPL.

he could get better subs, but he already owns those subs. He can sell those and buy other subs but he got alot of other things to do first. Ima help him. then he can upgrade amps and subs. I think he said he has 1800rms max off his best amp, but his power is dropping down to 10V. so that is a major issue that needs attention right now. We shall see what up.

Ya I know its the same motor but I was just worried about airspace for the 15's and ya it would be at 1ohm and I already got em because I got a great deal on em and thought I'd try em out, cuz I like trying everything, I have new system like every month no joke. So you think 6 cubic feet, after or before sub displacement and port area?

I love it, its an awesome car, havent had any major issues and im at 94000 miles, mine is an 05 mazda 3 hatch, I think theyre very sporty, comfortable, and decent power for the size.

Ok broskie, you know how to handle that, so get it done. Fosgate amps are power hungry and inefficient! They will run on lower voltage, but will get very hot. The T1500 should say about 1800 @ 1 ohm on its birth sheet. I had one. And yes thats RMS.

you are correct, it said like 1840 I think @1ohm but as far power efficiency goes its a lot better than my hifonics brz 1700 and earthquake Ph-D10000 I had running before, not both at same time though. but if you guys have suggestions on good amps for a guy tryin not to spend a fortune let me know.
