Should I build a box for SPL comp?

I was wondering if I should make a different box and tune it really high. Right now I have a CRX tuned to 35hz. I hit 150db at my first metering but one guy beat me with 153db. I was wondering if by tunning high around 47hz would it make a huge difference in SPL? If I do make another box it will be for SPL only so dont tell me it will sound like shit

with an old setup i went from 143up to a 148.3 by going from 43hz to 58hz... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif it just depends on your car if you can find a TL somewhere try it...and like said earlier...just test test test

Audiocontrol but from what Ive heard thats fairly accurate. May be wrong

i found that the SPLstats car shows use a AC 160

get any mic, not to test how loud, but to see how much of improvment there is, I believe for the most part a 5%increase on a AC 160 is a 5%increase on a new TL. regardless off what you measured SPL is

The problem with the AC mic is that they arent consistant, you could meter 145.x one day and148.x the next with no change, INVEST IN A TL the best tool for any SPL competitor
