6" walmart bowls used for car door baffles

I know that tupperware has been used to make baffles for car doors (coated with deadener). Do you think I can use these Double-wall bowls (@ walmart for $1) with a custom made mdf speaker plate?

I need some ideas on how to install them.

They will be fitted with the older style Eton (~2.5 depth ~4.5 cutout) Diamond Hex midrange speakers. I want to place them in my existing door speaker locations. I know that I will have to cut some sheet metal out of the door frame and I am willing to use any materials on the *metal frame (liquid nails, fiberglass, bondo etc.) I DO NOT want to modify my door panels though.

Chances are, those mids aren't going to like being put in a small sealed enclosure, which is exactly what you're doing with those...

sound deadner hardly qualifies as and enclosure, but I bet you would notice quite a differance if you opened it up.

you could build a little shroud over it just to keep the water off...

o good idea i'll look into that or maybe even some non defective weather stripping for my car hahaha then i wont even have to worry about it

what if you just cut the bowl in half and mounted it over the speaker to stop it from getting dripped on. Would that affect preformance in any way?
