should i amp my rear 6x9's?

i have some old(ish) pioneer 6x9's in my rear deck off of HU power. my SS65.2's are amped. how many of you have amplified your rear deck (preferably 6x9s) and did u like it better that way, or no? having trouble deciding.

i would imagine anything amplified bigger than the headunit power would sound better....... so yea

i believe that you need to or else they will distort when you turn it up from lack of power. the hu is only like 18 rms right?

I amp my rears normally before i amp the fronts. But yea you should get them both amped take some stress off the cd player

Just saw what HU you had, defiently amp them. It's a good hu, but as other said, anything amped will sound better than running off the HU. Plus, for me with that HU, to get my speakers to where I listen to them, I have it turned all the way up and it gets SOOOO distored. So yes, amp them, especially if you want to blair them and no send a distorted signal to them.

i would do away with the 6x9's too get a bad*** front stage it all depends how loud are your subs do make alot of pressure
