Should a custom 10 get louder than 2 sa8's?

Besides the power difference. The 2 sa8's are in a 1.2^3 enclosure ported at 35htz. The SPL custom sub will be in a 1.5^3 enclosure tuned to 32-35htz. So more space for the 10" custom.

No way to say for sure. What kind of 10?

Custom one built by corey(splaudio). Info I have is that it has a custom machined cooling riser, top plate has been bored to fit a fat 4 layer alum coil, 3x stack slugs, sewn leads

I would think you would like it more, But it is debatable tell you install it.

its was a type X motor i modded. he wanted sql and this sub screams it, will dig deep realllllly deep.

have built these before and customers rave how much better they are than a stock type x.

I'd say if there is a difference, it wouldn't be by much. It may be louder or it may be quieter, won't know til you install it.

Well I will be putting more power then I am currently running. I'm doing 800rms atm and am going to at least 1200rms if not 1800 like I have heard.

more motor force with a 3" coil and shorting rings the low freqs are gonna be way better than the sa8s. dont get me wrong the sa8 is a stellar sub but dosent have the low freq output of that 10"...
