Shammy's Sonata Trunk Build

Man i was watching the voltage man it was a healthy 13v while cruising...

There's honestly no reason it should've popped because i've pushed it harder before. It didn't even get hot or save itself with protect.

The guy who sold it to me said it had a 3way protection curcuit in it but apparently not. Hell man i wasn't even dimming that hard... I have no explanation for what occured here

I turned on the car again and that thing sounds like a ******' lawn mower

Also the ppi wasn't even hot

I hate to say it but i knew this was going to happen when i disliked your post a couple days ago when you joked about paypal refunding you if you blew it. This is precisely why you don't just use one set of power and ground inputs. It has dual inputs for a reason. Take this as hopefully a cheap lesson that can be repaired cheaply. You bought a used amp, it worked when you got it, you blew it. Why should the seller have to pay for your mistakes? Get it repaired and set your electrical up correctly

That is also a d1ck move editing your posts to cover your as$ in only running one set of inputs. This hobby is built off honesty, trust and respect. I hope you own up to your mistakes and don't file a claim.

Man one run of inputs shouldn't have even mattered plus i got the second run of inputs put in with a 2/0 welding cable and 1/0 knuconceptz run all OFC everywhere.

I never even had the gain turned up because the HDS312's couldn't hang

no amplifier blows off a week of being ran with ease. the heat never gathered to anything more than my soundqubed handled.

i've seen equipment stressed ten times harder than I put it up to today. litterly a 15 minute drive to work blew this thing. not even a protection circuit would save it but idk why it would when there was no heat gathered on it.

i'm not talking out my *** and i'm not about to stress my new gear that i like to take pride in and take care of

my soundqubed amplifier is in impeccable condition after six months of steady use.

i'm not one to toss **** around and honestly i'm trying not to get the short of the stick here. there are other problems prior to the amplifier blowing with this deal like the bass knob being more messed up than initially stated. also there are blemishes of some sort of heat meltdown or something. whatever it is i believe his car exploded at one point or another.

either way about me changing the electrical details there are other posts about how exactly i am running this amplifier so don't think i'm trying to cover tracks. also a paypal claim was filed in the parking lot of my work because this case smells of horse ****.

when i blow a sundown, dc, dd, ampere or whatever i'll kick in the bucket because that's actual quality equipment with a reputable name.

at this point i honestly believe there are internal failures within this unit.

Also he's lying out his *** in the paypal claim when he states I was knowledgale about the amp going into protect when using the bass knob mode.

I think it's ridiculous how he's stating the amp was sold as is and he can't be responsible for it blowing a week later. I bought this amplifier under the impression it was functioning. It was functioning, but not as stated in the seller's post. Saying something is being sold as is, and perfectly fine, are two completely different spectrum and I would've taken a lot more precautions before sending that guy $375

Why go back and edit your posts 4 hours ago about only running one set of inputs? You do realize gain is not a volume knob? If running your prs at 60-62/62 your giving full output so the amp could be close to trying to make full power. You were also stating in another post how your subs were stinking because you were wanging on it for a good hour the night before. So you are either clipping or running a lot of power. All trying to be done with a 4k on stock alt. Not to mention your p900.4.

i did that because i am paranoid about this whole situation. i regret doing that and changed it because i look like an *******. there's more posts about how i'm running this amp too

everyone gets their subs smelling respectably at one point or another. especially with HDS312's because they're cheap

i run my equipment respectably to what it's capable of. i'd never take my eye off the voltage meter and i'd always feel the amps for abnormal heat. up until now there have been no complaints because of how smooth the stuff has been running.

i'd imagine if it were to blow it would've happened at another time when under more playing pressure. not a quick run to work playing a song that isn't even that bass heavy compared to others

The amp worked when you got it.

The amp worked while you had it.

It's not like the seller knew it would blow on you after using it for a week.

Now you see why people don't run 4,000 watts on a stock electrical system.

voltage does not mean amp is fed. Actual current passing through and voltage are different things. Once the batteries get drained out pretty low, you arent seeing as much current as before so the amp is literally starved of amperage. Even i have to Trickle charge my setup once in a while to get the batteries back to 100%

If the amp wasn't as described you send it back. Of course the amp was sold as is. He's not going to warranty it. Sounds like it worked really good until you blew it. You were happy with it until it blew correct?

The ct sounds amplifier BLEW!!!
I was on my way to work (15 minute comute) cruising down the street aaaand the bass cutout. sure enough the bass knob read PRO.

I got to work minutes later. Parked that *****. And i felt the amp and it wasn't even hot! It gets hotter sitting in the california heated sun! There's absutely no reason it should've blown because i've ran it at the same level for longer And it's got even hotter!

I was playing Shabba decaf and i always bump it. No dirty music or bass boosted or anything.

Do you all think i can get a paypal refund?

USER ERROR.

Why the hell would you use one set of inputs on an amp that has two?? It has two for a reason!

4k on stock electrical? You really weren't ready.

ATT. Everyone:

Do not sell to shammy. That is all.
