Shammy's Sonata Trunk Build

Which subs can I fit in a box for two 12's, separate chambers at 2.3cu feet before displacement, with a tuning at 35hz & 66 square inches of port?

It's gonna be powered off a CT 4k around 1 ohm. I like low bass and crushing highs

cuz i keep it g...

no really I have no idea man.

at the moment, I don't have the gain touched because it pushes the HDS312's to the point of staaaank.

I think i turned the gain up 1/16th of the way. mind you i play my 80prs at max 62 volume so the source voltage is huge.

when cruising at full tilt though i see no dimming and no voltage drop past 13v.

I figured when I get the new subs I could invest in another 80 AH battery totaling around 250AH. But if I HAVE to i'll get a new alternator down the line. I know you all recommend alternators are the first thing you

Oh yeah and this is ran off one power and ground input being used, and the voltage reading is off the bass knob & DMM.. the knob is surprisingly accurate!

gonna get the second set of inputs running withing a couple days, the second ground is ready, but my friend is gonna toss me some Knu 1/0 OFC for the positive:)
I run my volt meter off the sub amps + and then the other volt meter is built into the prs. They are about .2 off of eachother at any given time.

I believe the sub rca outs clip on the prs at around 59. Remember reading something about that on the 100+ page DIYMA prs thread.

I used to go off the PRS voltmeter then realized it is delayed as hell and does not keep up with the very minuscule voltage drops

I have no idea about HU clipping on the PRS, I know there is a point of distortion that SMD reported with his testing equipment

Whats gonna happen if I clip the HU? If anything?

I've been steadily slamming my system everyday on the SQ2200 without a day of abnormal heat on the sub's dustcap

Send a dirt clipping signal to your amplifier. Itll Amplify that dirty signal. I say back it off just a notch or two. If you have to adjust your gains up just a tad than so be it. if your set on running it at max, run 60/62

Its a super clean HU but just from what ive learned over the year. A clean signal is the best.

The ct sounds amplifier BLEW!!!

I was on my way to work (15 minute comute) cruising down the street aaaand the bass cutout. sure enough the bass knob read PRO.

I got to work minutes later. Parked that *****. And i felt the amp and it wasn't even hot! It gets hotter sitting in the california heated sun! There's absutely no reason it should've blown because i've ran it at the same level for longer And it's got even hotter!

I was playing Shabba decaf and i always bump it. No dirty music or bass boosted or anything.

Do you all think i can get a paypal refund?

Oh yeah and after it shutoff i reset the 80prs and when the amp turned on it made one big POP

No smoke or smells that i could tell

But it still powers on just in protect mode
