setup question for '04 civic on IA 20.1

Hey yall my friend just recently blew his 15" MX and is getting a new setup. He is thinking about getting either 2 12"s or replacing the 15" he has now... in either setup they will most likely be runnin at .5ohm off the IA so im guessing around 2200rms will be coming out at least? he has a Kinetik 2400.

Anyways he is staying in the $500 range for subwoofers. Should he go with 1 nice 15 again or should he get the two 12"s? he was thinkin Audioque HDC3 12s or some single 15 that can handle that wattage...likes the LOWW bass..what yall think?

obviously the 12s will be louder but also a lot more money. think it is worth the extra $250 or so bucks for 2 instead of one? Thanks

One 15" HD3C off 2200 watts would sound pretty good.

Or a BTL.

If you wanted a little more SQ while still getting loud, that power would be perfect for 2 Icons, or 2 Q's.

15" Mach 5 SPL on 2200 should pound pretty good and get low, BTL and HDC3 easily.

Or 2 Fi Q with 1k+ each on the 12" they have 27mm excursion and shoudl play the lowest tones with authority.
