I am finally getting all of my equipment this week and hopefully I should install it all this weekend. I never tuned an active system so I am not 100% sure how to do everything. My system is:

Vehicle: 08 Nissan 350Z

Head unit: Alpine 9887

Front comps: Focal 165 K2P in custom kicks by Bing

Front comps amp: Alpine PDX 4.150

Sub: DLS Iridium 10" in custom sealed fiberglass enclosure made to DLS's specs.

Sub amp: Alpine PDX 1.600

Stock electrical (will upgrade to Yellow Top soon)

4ga power/ground wire, 12ga for the sub, and 16ga for the comps.

36sq ft of dynamat extreme and roll of 62 sq ft of rammat bxt.

What crossover points and slopes should I set my system to? Also, should I adjust my amps' gains by ear or with multi-meter? How many watts should I give to my midbass and how many to the tweeter? I need some help with this too. I had a system back in 2004 with Focal 165W and I don't think it was set up correctly at all and I really want this system to sound awesome. Any help would be much appreciated.

Crossovers - Sub 80hz and down, mids 80hz to what 2khz? on those tweets?

start with slopes at 24db if you have them, if not try for 18 then play with your phase on each speaker to get a good center.
