setting the low pass and level

I may be wrong on this but I want to make sure my gains are set right

I have a question about the low pass and the level knob

I set my level knob to equal around 1200 watts@1 ohm. But when I adjust my low pass knob the voltage barely changes. Can someone please tell me what the low pass knob should be set to?

I don’t want to over work my subs so I know turning it all the way us is not a good ideia.

Can anyone tell me what this should be set too?

box is about 5.5 cubic feet and tuned around 38-40 hz

2 l7s. 06 style

You stole my responce, They don't need any Bass EQ.

I assume thats a Ported or bandpass box at 5.5CF Use some fiber fill to cut resonance.

It should not change much if its around 100hz and the Subsonic filter is around 20~25hz. If you can set the Q to 1 or 1.5 That should be right down the middle of 40hz.

the low pass is the low pass filter which blocks out high frequencies. i assume you aren't using an external crossover or the crossover on your headunit? if not you really don't want your lowpass above 80 hz. on the subsonic filter, since your box is tuned to 40 hz., you were fine at 35 hz.
