but you can use the gain knob like a volume knob.******* it, why do people keep spreading around false information? A gain control and a volume control are COMPLETELY different things. If anything, they are near opposites.
They're not, they're just being seriously sarcastic. Too many people like that on this forum.******* it, why do people keep spreading around false information? A gain control and a volume control are COMPLETELY different things. If anything, they are near opposites.
Well, if that's how thier amps are designed I'll put them on my "never buy one" list.My information came directly from Jason at Cadence. He told me that the txa line power sources were not regulated and they could not be set with a dmm. I did not ask for specifics nor do I claim to know why this is the case but if Jason tells me that I will believe him. He has proven himself on many occasions and his customer service is some of the best that I have ever encountered.
Still would have to adjust accordingly to get things to sound right and to make sure you are not over driving speakers or not clipping. You would have to have a MIGHTY tightly regulated amplifier to hold true to a lot of what is said here just going off a dmm. A lot of sq guys take it a few steps farther with extra volume controls which is fine as long as you have the processing if not you can do what my friend did and he is not a real newb to car audio..going fully active he is though lol..still might have to attenuate for how different speakers in the system perform if you are into sound quality and like balanceare you that dependent on a dmm?
Go ahead and use it as one. . . . car audio companies love you dumbasses when you got to buy new shit cause you blew it all up. I used to be like you... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifYeah! You can! When I turn the gain up ... the volume increases!! Just like with the volume knob! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/applause.gif.bb805d8088f72dbc2fe808c29e85fb4c.gif
