when setting the gain for a 4 channel should i use a -0db -5db 1khz tone or what would be best?
at what test tone did you set it up? and did you do a -5db? or -0dbmulti meter, set it with dd1 originally, but to much power for the mids, blew one already but i had a replacement.
the cd that comes with the dd1 has 1khz at -0db, -5db, -10db, and -15db, so just wondering what would be best the instructions with the dd1 says use -5 for best sq and -10 for a louder system.at what test tone did you set it up? and did you do a -5db? or -0db
i blew it cuz i didnt check my impedence and set the amp with dd1 so mids were seein 250 rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif so no i went in with dmm and set it for 150 rms at 2ohm lol should be good now. my tweets are 4ohm and my mids are 2ohm but when i check imp at the amp i get a 2ohm final load how does that work? souldnt i have a 3 ohm final load?-5db should've been fine; but ,if u blew one like that the first time then do -3 or 0db
The passive crossover affects the final impedance as welli blew it cuz i didnt check my impedence and set the amp with dd1 so mids were seein 250 rms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif so no i went in with dmm and set it for 150 rms at 2ohm lol should be good now. my tweets are 4ohm and my mids are 2ohm but when i check imp at the amp i get a 2ohm final load how does that work? souldnt i have a 3 ohm final load?
