Set up in a cobra

Hey guys I recently began posting here, and my setup is in the works. But I have antoher system for you to look into.

I would like to know what you think about this setup for my bro's car. He has a cobra but he is not going to have much room for a large system, because hes throwing a 250 shot of NOS in the trunk. So here is what I am thinking about:

2.5 cube ported box

2 10" Alpine Type Xs

Hifionics Brutus BXi2006D(overrated but probably still good for 1800rms)

Type R comps

Pioneer DEH-P5000UB HU

Possible a small amp for the comps

Looking to spend about $1000, prolly be able to do it then get a comp amp in the future.

With a 250 shot, his motor isn't going to last very long. Tell him to save his money and expect to buy a new engine.

Other than that, that gear will make a decent system. But you HAVE to amp a component set. They're not made to run off head unit power, never have been, never will be.

x3, not my car could car less about how much hes going to mess up his engine. But he wants it. This isn't about the nitrous though. So please try to stay on topic.

But with the 1000 hes giving me it's going to be hard to squeeze an amp in their. I was thinking a small 4 channel kicker amp to power them though. Maybe a Zx200.4

Ported. Its about a midsized box for the 10s, I think 3cube is optimal size.

It will be a very budget minded setup, you have to remember you still need to buy wiring, RCA's, etc. Does he have a head unit yet?

If you need to save money and can't buy a mid/high amp, buy some coaxials.

Is he into sq or does he want output? Those subs, great subs, but they dont get stupid loud at all.

Setup looks pretty nice though, even though I'm not a fan of those components.

Squeeze in another amp for the comps.

I have wiring and all that jazz to run through the car already. There is a HU in the budget but I think a friend will be giving him a HU instead of buying one. I would really like to buy some 6.5" and not coaxials. I might be able to squeeze some more money out of him. Its only like 100 for a 200.4.
