Set my gains

i got the same thing, i set my gain using a -3db tone but i would like it to be louder without a huge hazard to my system, shoudl i go ahead an re-adjust it using a -6db tone?

actually to tell you guys the truth, this is the way to go if you want something called a 'gain overlap' but you will need an ocillioscope, which most people dont have. btw, yes you will be safe with a -6db tone, make sure you get a good tone, wav preferably, but a GOOD 320kbps rate tone will work.

how accurate is it? i have access to REAL nice oscopes but when i connected them (since i hadnt learned how to use them yet) all i got was what looked like a regular pattern with no clipping even with my gain all the way up. but i could have been using it all wrong lol. only used the oscopes one time

I love mine. It's so easy to you, infact Dave Navone and Richard Clark recc this oscope. You just hook it up and push the 'AUTO' button and it does the work for you.

hmm, that sounds good, i could use it to test o2 sensors, and other shit on cars too so maybe i should drop the cash and get one
