Set gains w/ dmm, not enough powaaaa, what now?

Um NO! He said his LPF is set at 50hz. That's WAY too low and depending on it's cutoff curve, it's most likely dipping in to the 40hz range. Open that bish up to about 80hz and thank me later.

Set your SSF at 50, set your low pass at 50 (looks like this ^), crank the bass boost and your gain all the way to the right. Set the sub output from your HU to max, set your bass to max, set the loudness control to ON, set your volume to max.

Well your crossover doesn't just cut off right at the frequency you set it at. It falls off a little the farther away from it the frequency is. This means that the reason you're getting reduced output is that the crossover is filtering your peak frequency a little.
