Sears back up battery?

sadly when you own a volkswagen this "you're just asking for it to explode(not really) and leave you stranded somewhere with no bass, and no car." will happen regadless, but thats why i have a garage filled with spare parts from other volkswagens that have exploded, but I have 2 spare alts lying around, but do you all think if I upgrade to a 120 i would be ok until I could afford a h/0?

ok, well first of all I appreciate you guys schooling my dumb *** on this ****, because I am clearly faucking tarded, but will batteries do nothing to cushion the blow of 2100 rms, which is what I am running until I replace my subs, which will only happen when I find another job, which will allow me to buy an alt? Sorry for that atrocious run on statement/question hybrid lol

A battery is a band aid. If your alternator can't keep 1 battery charged with your system, what makes you think it can keep 2 batteries charged? It will be a temporary fix until the 2nd battery drains and you'll be right back where you started minus the money you spent on the battery.

Get an alternator.

well would you all recommend not installing my amp until I get a h/0? I might hopefully be getting a temp assignment here soon, and I could upgrade alts then, but would it absolutely kill me to run my amp on my current set up?

I wouldn't, you could damage your current alternator/battery and then be completely SOL

Or if you have a smaller amp, you could put it in for the meantime to use until you can get a H/O alternator.

heres a good question, if I ran the agm I am going to buy up front, and ran my current marine deep cycle in my trunk, would that only be risking the rear battery and alt, I am totally fine with killing the marine deep cycle and or alt so long as my amp will see above 12.2 volts until either the alt or battery die, I will upgrade, but I need bass in my life, all of my batteries have free replacement, and I have spare alts just laying around btw, go ahead and call me stupid and irrational, I have heard everythng you told me, I just lack the self control to not run my gear, and I know it

Well all we can do is give you advice, but running 3k watts on a 90 amp alterntor is asking for trouble. Whether you have 1 or 2 batteries. Your alternator can't support charging 1 battery with 3k watts, you won't be able to support 2.

you should contact your local battery seller in your town and ask for blem's.
I can't figure out where to go, there used to be a place that offered optima blems, but the went under, do any national chains sell their blems, because Louisville does not have many battery dealers, we just have like sears service centers and tire places, where would i normally find blems, i heard interstate dealers but was not sure

Lol, you just don't know the local hookups brah. I can get you group 31 batteries on the cheap bro. You NEED to get on 502streetscene.net and talk to the local car audio nuts.
