sealed or ported?

Ok so I just built my first sub and I don't know how to tell if it would like a sealed or ported box? Or the cubes any help will be great thanks

whats the motor based off of? how many/what kind of spiders? and what size

It was off a power acustic Spl ....I have never heard of it befor its a double 1 "thick 10" dia. The motor that is....I used double spiders black ones ..I think there med. Stuffiness and its a 15" sub

****? well i would start with a 3.8-4 cube box ported mildly low like 34-38 any sub can be used for sealed givin the suspension isnt so stiff that it rips the spiders from excursion

Personally I would go to Parts Express, get woofer tester 3, test the sub, and get the TS specs, then we can recommend the right size and type of box. Until then, anyone feeding you sizes and ports is a crap shoot.
