I have a 12" Kicker L7 and due to financial reasons, can't afford to get a new sub. Right now it is in a sealed box but if I got it ported, would it still sound clear with the tight bass?

I have heard both yes and no. Ported to 30 hz?

I love the tight kick of rock songs but it leaves me wanting more of that. My electrical system is a dead beat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif

I used to be a big sealed box fan, but went ported recently with my 2 10" Premier 250spl subs and they sound amazing on everything from rap to rock and everything in between.

A nicely built ported box will give you probably more thump, least it did in my case, however I am running more power compared to my other installs, so kinda not fair, lol!

An L7 in a sealed box?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif:confused://content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif
