yea i have an infinity kappa perfect 12.1 and right now it in a bassworx sealed encloser and it does pound right now. im am thinking on placing it in vented bassworx encloser. will the vented box get more boom out of my sub?? the sub is 350 rms 1400 max, im either planning on doing that or possibly selling that sub for a couple of mtx 12's and a vented box.

How much power are you sending those 12.1's?

Im asking because the Perfects are infamous for not lasting very long in ported boxes when given more than the 350w they're rated for.

(The 1400w max is pure marketing BS.)

They really are happiest in sealed boxes.

get a bigger amp. It is a beautiful sounding woofer sealed, and still pretty good ported, but it will sound like poo in a pre-fab ported enclosure. Get an amp that puts out about 350-400w, and put it in a sealed box, or make a correct ported.
