am selling my type R's

and i am gonan go with a single 10'' kicker C10

they are pretty sweet

only 150rms-300watt

i cant decide which box to get 10'' sealed off ebay 50$

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA:IT&ih=021

or a 10'' Ported box 65$

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...MEWA:IT&ih=002

i will prolly pump 200rms only-400watt amp onto this sub

not expecting much just somethin small yet bassy

but i dont know if its even worth geting a vented box for such a small setup

any ideas? if which box to get?

it will be louder but the bass wont be as good as in a sealed

i am juust talking from expeirance i never powered a really low rms sub in a ported box

i went from a L7 15'' kicker to a JL 10w0 with only 200rms and i swear the jl with only 200rms in a sealed sounded super loud inside the car not so much on the outside but all i care is aboutt he inside anyway thats why i am going back to a 10'' sub just dont know if it will actualy sound much better in a ported when only pumping low rms.. i always used poorted for 1000rms+

port it even tho its only 150rms ?
Port it ESPECIALLY SINCE it's only 150w. A ported allignment is much more efficient and will make the most of the power you have available.

And for the record, a properly built ported enclosure can be made to sound just as good as a sealed one.
