outer dimensions mean very little, give us airspace....

bigger is better toa point..

larger boxes will give you flatter response, more low end extension, but will also reduce the power handling of the driver..

be careful not to go TOO big, as that will cause an infinte baffle situation...

 
yes, but then teh enclosure itself would be the limiting factor...

if you were meaning to achieve an infinite baffle situation, you would noteven both with a full enclosure and use the trunk itself as teh 'enclosure'
