any other suggestions?
I choose the headunit cause I don't really need any features like ipod connectivity, bluetooth etc... I'm partial to Pioneer Premier because of the looks

do you think I should go with a 12" BL - or maybe even a 15" Q?

I'm a little worried about getting the high output I want through the gas tank and into the cabin

If you have to, cut a port into the back deck to get some sound in. As for a cd player, I'd suggest the 880 prs by Premier. It has a ton of control and is an all around great HU. Ask any of the many people running them. Hell, I used to run one and I want another. But it can be on the pricey side if new. But it just depends on how much control you want over the sound.

cool, glad to help. I'd make sure to buy from an authorized dealer, cuz when my 880 developed a terrible ground noise, it would of costed me $100 at least cuz i bought it new off of ebay. Lesson learned, I will always buy my radio from an authorized dealer. Less headaches.

You can always get a square trade warranty for a little bit extra.....

i'd feel better walking into a brick and mortar store and getting service. I heard bad things about the Squaretrade. Just my .02 though.
