you mean to tell me you wont hear the difference in a driver that naturally has a lower distortion vs others? stop wasting your money then!the vehicles acoustics are one thing the drivers acoustics are another.
I've always said if you can build the cabin to better suit comb filtering, phase issues and frequency response thats by far the best. other than that processing can fix alot of issues.
phasing is always going to be a huge issue. there is no way around it. IMD(intermodulation distortion) is real it does exist and its in every loudspeaker in existence.
let not get side tracked. pm me ill give you my personal contacts and they will clear any questions you have about the design. what the point of me wanting to build loudspeakers if i let someone else design them. did they aid me? sure i don't have leap. is there a specific design i use in my drivers? yes I've said it plenty of times. I've learned over the years from klipple testing and buying and testing drivers for years
i use longer coils would to give a specific inductance over excursion have the higher surface area to have lower power compression and larger flux pathways to keep motor strength ideal for the application. of course the shorting ring to lower back EMF and inductance shift.
