Saying bye to DD.

Hybrid is the biggest sponsor for them. It's just voodoo. Some say HAT cars get a bit of a edge. I'm sure they sound good also.

I'd only want the Legatia and it doesn't fit my price range. Also the tweeters need a 3 way to shine and I'm not 100% confident about using a wideband instead.

Humm. A competitor that agrees.Anyways. You might as well grab the tweeters to match
You will find hundreds that don't. Even the ones that don't that do use fancy amps only do it for the wow effect.

Do you forget I am a competitor?

It's a realistic concern because some of them are just not up to the task. If you really want to unlock something special try the Jordan drivers. They are truly special and the science is there to explain why. It's my favorite sounding wideband ever, and I've had more than a few pass through my hands. They're just holographic, they disappear. They sound sweet right out of the box and they only get sweeter with a bit of EQ and lots of time gone by. The 100HD will play right down to 30-40Hz in the home and really relieve you of all those phase coherency issues. In the vehicle you wouldn't be using them at that low of a frequency so all that potential becomes a huge dynamic reserve. They'll stroke **** near 3/4" and you won't hear any intermodulation distortion, very clean motor. Otherwise, the 60HD is smaller and more install friendly but they're still changing over to ScanSpeak production for their drivers and it's not in stock for now. Couple links for you below.

A graph or ears? Which is more important? The fact is picking the driver that works best in your install.
you have to depth as a person. the whole point of this is for shows or what you actually want to hear? if you want to real the most realistic reproduction pick te drivers with the lowest distortion. other than that your guessing.

I really don't think you understand what I do.

Otherwise, if you want a real treat from the frugal perspective... These cannot be beaten for value to perfomance ratio. Lovely, lovely sound from these. Also a bending wave driver.

Thanks. I'll keep them in mind.

But after driving 2 hours with no sub I don't think my mids are the issue. I'm not sure what it was but it wasn't them.

Local friend Gary Turner hooked it up.

Now to finally decide on the finish.

I want to bring the interior into the trunk. Wrap the box in tan leather and the beauty panels in black leather. The amps will be exposed, covered in plexi with some tasteful LEDs. View attachment 26556128
