running speaker wires

Bout to run some speaker wires for my driver side speaker and tweeter. My power wire also runs down the drive side. Do I need to not run these in the same location?
Keep 'em as far apart as possible man. Don't want that dreaded whine.......

Well I don"t want to run them any longer than I need or remove any extra interior than I have too. Will separation of a few inches be safe or should I try to keep them at least a foot apart to be safe? Can I run them next to the power wire and if I get no whine will that be ok?

Try it out. Worst case, you'll have to separate them. When I was running 8 gauge I didn't have any issues, but when I went to 4 I had to separate.

I have my KNU 1/0 ran with 2 runs of SHCA 14 gauge right on top to my front driver side door. No issues at all.
I just wouldn't run my RCAs on the same side as my power wire.
Thanks man, makes me feel like I shouldn't have any problems running 2 runes of 12 gauge next to my 0 gauge power wire. They only run parallel for maybe 4ft or so.

Yeah, I had my rca's running along with the speaker wire next to the power. Just moved the power to the other side.

Yeah I got my rcas on the other side of the vehicle. Never done an install where they were on the same side, I read it was bad and just always avoided it. Theres speakers on both sides so it gets a little tricky keeping things separate, especially in a small car.

Not a problem. Speaker outputs are low impedance and will NOT pick up any noise from a power wire.
