running 8 sets of rsds xover question

hes running 8kw to his subs...100 watts or 200 watts to your fronts will not do the trick. Does he need all 8? i really dont think so, but at the same time i bet you at full tilt his mids will be just as loud as the bass will be.

thanks for the input, i just dont see 1 3way set keeping up i had 2 sets of mb quarts and a set of 4x6"s in the truck when i had 4 sx 12"s and they barely kept up with those and that was doing low 50s

So DDeitz is just Biased it looks like.

You really don't need it all, but whatever.

As to your previous setup, must not have had it right. I have done 156.4 with my cutty with 4 9500's and 2 1501d's modded to 2000rms and had 1 set of MB Quart Q's and 3 1/2 MB Quarts up in the dash with a cheap line of MTX Componet set in the back rear panels off two MTX amps and they screamed! After 150, anything is hard to keep up with the bass, but they did a good job.

I want it to be an equal mix of bass and words I did of right with 3 sets of mids

I could hear them yes. They were loud yes. But they were overpowered and me using twice the power 8k, with more cone area and a wall in

my new setup they will be no match

if it sounds back **** it, i wasted 700 on some

bad *** doorpanels and I'll sell the rsds and start over

Quarts aren't loud. Once you figure in the insane amounts of phase cancellation you'll have 8 sets of anything won't be that loud either. A single 3-way (or two way with horns) will send you deaf in a very short period of time.

Think what ever you want, and do whatever you want. It's your car.

And I can search and find plenty of people online that do plenty of dumb crap. Having a web page or a video on youtube doesn't make you a big name and it certainly has no bearing on whether or not you really have a clue what you're doing.

You CAN run all four sets off of one crossover. What you need to do is run each pair of mids in series and then run the two pairs in parallel to give you the same final load as a single mid, do the same with the tweeters. Just keep in mind the most important part is to keep the load (impedance) the same as a single speaker. PM me if you need more info.

Well you may want to head over to termpro then and teach the bass race guys how to run components.

Bass race and components have what to do with each other? Bass race is about getting the subs loud. Anything other than that is all for show.
so recommend me a 3 way and a 2way set 800 budget that will keep up with 8k-9k watts and 4 15" mts

loud and crystal clear, or seperate and i make my own comp sets u tell me

team h&k has a bunch of karaudio coaxials. they are prtty god speakers if you get 500 dollars worth youll be able to keep up with 8kw

x2. im going to guess without looking at your location you are in floriduh. its like a stereo special ed school down there
HEY WATCH IT THERE DBAG.

JK.....its so true

But running 8 sets of rsd's would be kinda badass, but at the same time, why not a 3 way **** decent PA setup?
