running 8 sets of rsds xover question

Overkill is an understatement, unless you are powering a shit ton of them off a huge fawking *** amp.
I think you should tone it down some and run 2 sets in each door and would do just as good if not better.

Also, if you want to not go active, then mount them in the back of the wall.

How many subs are you running?>
i will have 100 watts rms to the rsds each

i will be running 4 re mt 15"s 2 each off a mmats 4000.1 may switch to new btls in the future tho

also where can i get a 15 raw screen, i want to put this in the dash and my 980bt in the center console

And i decided to change the design a lil bit, im going to put 1 set in the kicks, 5 in the front door, and in the rear doors and one in the back where the amps are going since i will have a lot of open room behind the wall to fill in

Even with all that bass, you will not need all those Rsd's, but I see you think, the more the better, so I guess you can do what you decided on.

I think you will have an uber loud setup, but nothing I would do and I have had cars in the mid 50's and never had that many highs and still sounded great.

I would rather spend the money on less, better equipment than on cheaper, more equipment, but that is just me.

also, i dont kwo fi anyoen else mentioned this (only skimmed replies) but you're going to be limited with power using only one crossover... along with all the other problems im sure ppl have mentioned

ok, so bad idea even tho i have the power to feed them and have 2 3 way xovers i was gonna use with built in line drivers

cause of too many different wavelengths.

how bout telling me what would u do i want it very very loud and clear

lets say i have 2 amps each do

4 x 160Wrms @ 4 ohms

4 X 175Wrms @ 2 ohms

and i put a lets say 800 dollar budget on my mids what would you do

dont just say that will sound shitty, thats retarded or you ****

tell me what would be better which would prob been a lot shorter response than what u typed above

there have been responses of what would be better. to only run 2 sets instead of 8. and if you honestly can justify spending 800 bucks on all these set of rsd's and dont know a better way to spend an 800 dollar budget on comps then you must not do to much reading on here.....

and i didnt spend 800 maybe 450 if even that

no there have been rsponse saying run less better equipment which is a pretty broad response

if it will sound loud and alot cleaner ( a huge audible difference) i will drop 800 on mids but i want them to keep up with the bass

recommend me what i should run

i dont understand why all the hate, their are PLENTY of people running 8+ sets of mids. hell their are guys running 20 sets. They also happen to be some of the biggest names as well...i dont see the hate, he wants loud. He obviously does not care about sound quality

Run 8.

20 sets? Really? The big names? Really? Big names in what? Certainly not big names in audio. Only cars I've ever seen like that were show cars meant to appeal to 16 year old kids. If that's what you want, knock yourself out, but even in that arena, many times less is more. The simple setups usually look better and almost always sound better.

Gmonk is going to be running about 8 pairs when he done

K, your talking about people that probably will be doing close to 160's, if not they fail as well.

Is a general rule of thumb, the less equipment, but better, will be just as loud and sound much better.

Let him run 8rsds, I don't care. He don't need to do anything remotely close to that. I have one set in my car of the Rsd's and they sound plenty loud in a low 140db car, but even at 150dbs, he won't need 8 of them. He is only doing it to look cool, OMG! Look how many mids I have and to be retardedly loud.

Honestly, if you want loud, then go get some Bullett tweets or horns and be done with it.
